By Alex HudsonLast year, Great Lake Swimmers toured hard in support of New Wild Everywhere, and now the folksy Torontonians are getting ready to hit the road once again with more Canadian shows.

The schedule isn't so much a tour as a steady scattering of concerts during June, July and August. Most of the gigs are in Ontario, but the band will venture out west for an appearance at the Canmore Folk Music Festival. See the schedule below.

Following these summer band shows, frontman Tony Dekker will spend September travelling to British Columbia's Great Bear region with the World Wildlife Fund. Dekker advocates the protection of the region, which is at the centre of a national debate regarding the pipeline-building Northern Gateway Project
