Paul’s special pick up technique was to sit in the corner dressed in all black with a guitar and sing songs in pretend-French at boho-chic art parties that John Lennon would bring him to. Apparently it never worked well. But at least it became a Beatles single later on.

Paul McCartney claims that he took the first selfie ever.
On October 7, 2013 in a Jimmy Fallon interview, Paul McCartney claimed that he took the first “selfie” in history. Apparently the selfie photograph style has been around since the 1900s, so unfortunately the claim can’t be true. Even so, Paul McCartney’s selfie may just be the first famous selfie ever.

When the film rights for the Lord of the Rings were sold to United Artists, the Beatles wanted to star in the movie and hoped that Stanley Kubrick would take the directing role. Stanley Kubrick’s previous work includes A Clockwork Orange and The Shining. However, Kubrick rejected the idea because he thought the story was too difficult to capture on film. J.R.R. Tolkien, the author of the Lord of the Rings, also opposed to the idea of the Beatles taking a role in a film version of his work. This all worked out for Peter Jackson who successfully produced the film series beginning in 2001.

The song Yesterday written by Paul McCartney came to be the most covered song in history by 1986, as it was covered over 1,600 times. Many of its versions were recorded by other legendary artists such as Elvis Presley, Boyz II Men, Frank Sinatra, and James Brown.
The Beatles Manager had worked with Walt Disney to arrange for the Beatles to perform in the The Jungle Book as the Vultures. However, the four members rejected the offer, as John Lennon stated “There’s no way The Beatles are going to sing for Micky F*cking Mouse!!!” Either way, the four vultures were modeled after The Beatles members with their droopy MopTop haircuts.
None of the members in the Beatles were musically literate.
Although all four members were musically gifted, none of them could technically read music. In a 1980 Playboy Magazine interview John Lennon stated, “I think Paul and Ringo stand up with any of the rock musicians. None of us are technical musicians. None of us could read music. None of us can write it. But as pure musicians, as inspired humans to make noise, they are as good as anybody.”

Coincidently, the children of Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr share the same birthday! Zack Starkey and Stella McCartney are six years apart, but both born on September 13. Ringo’s son Zak is a drummer like his father, and Paul’s daughter Stella is a fashion designer.
In the week of April 4th, 1964, The Beatles held twelve spots in total in the Billboard top 100, as well as all of top five spots. These legendary statistics have never been matched by any other artists in history!
The White Beetle in the album photo of Abby Road had its license plate stolen several times after the album’s release.
The Abby Road was released on September 26, 1969. After its release, the white Volkswagen in the background of the image had its license plate, LMW 281F, repeatedly stolen from Beatles fans. In 1986, the car was auctioned for the equivalent of $23,000 (£2,500).The car is now on display at the Volkswagen Museum in Germany.
In 1964, BBC news accidentally reported that Ringo Starr had his toenails removed.
On June 3rd 1964, BBC announcer misunderstood that Ringo had his tonsils removed, and reported that he had his toenails removed. (He must have been extremely tired.)
